LUSD Jazz Ensemble Semester 1 Wednesdays at Loomis Grammar Elementary from 2:45-4:15 pm Open to LUSD Band Students, grades 6-8 Classes run September 4th -December 18th $160 for the semester (Fees pay for salary, supplies and instruments)
Loomis Unified School District is excited to offer an opportunity for our band students in the Loomis Union School District to learn and experience playing jazz. This course is taught and directed by Jeremiah Jacks. Students enrolled in the LUSD Jazz Ensemble will learn to play Latin, Swing, Funk and much more, and will expand their understanding and experience with jazz improvisation! Jeremiah Jacks is a highly qualified, experience jazz educator. His highly awarded jazz and wind ensembles have consistently received superior ratings at festivals and have been widely acclaimed across Northern California. Mr. Jacks serves as Music Advocacy Rep for CMEA Capitol Section and is a CMEA State Board Council Member. Mr. Jacks has been awarded General Music Educator of the Year by CMEA Bay Section as well as Outstanding Music Educator by the Marin Symphony.
